draw reins run from the girth between the horses frint legs trough the ring on the bit to the riders hands
they are used as a 'schooling aid' as an extra measure of controll to help keep the horses head in the correct place
unless you know exactly what you are doing they can cause more harm than help [and increased vets bills]
there are no short cuts when schooling horses
